The Challenge
Horizon Village & Resort is a Thai Lanna-style resort in Chiang Mai, inspired by local culture and designed for international travellers. Its meeting spaces sit within a large, green botanical garden.
Its website ran on a content management system that did not support more than one language properly, so Thai and English text appeared on the same web addresses. Search engines struggled to index the site and to show each visitor the right language for their region. This limited the site’s reach to travellers abroad and its visibility in search results.

Our Approach
Primal’s search engine optimisation (SEO) work began with hreflang tags, a piece of code that tells search engines which language a page is in. With them, search engines could identify and index the Thai and English versions of the site correctly.
We rewrote the site’s content to follow the EEAT principles (experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness), so that it met good practice for high quality search content.
We also added clear, structured meta titles to raise the pages’ visibility in search, above all on the pages about the resort’s experiences, such as yoga sessions and cooking classes.
Outcomes Achieved
The hreflang tags let search engines tell the language versions apart, and the site performed better in searches from other countries. The service pages, rewritten to the EEAT guidelines, became more relevant and clearer for visitors from abroad.
Clear, structured meta titles on the key pages made the site more visible in organic search. Together, these changes grew organic bookings 2x in 6 months and gave every visitor a smoother experience on the site.
